Before moving to Seattle I was a weather anchor at KVEW-42/KAPP-35 in the Tri-Cities and Yakima Washington from 2003-2006. Before that I was weekday/weekend morning meteorologist for KING 5 and NWCN in Seattle. What cities have you worked in during your journalism career?īefore coming to KIRO 7, I was the weekday morning meteorologist at KGW in Portland from 2009-2015. I’m a communicator and from the time I was a little kid, I always wanted a microphone as a gift! I like asking questions, and I love taking complicated info and turning it into an easy-to-understand valuable and when possible, an entertaining message.ģ. She joined ABC7 after spending several years at KUSI in San Diego, where she worked as a weekday morning weather/traffic anchor, fill-in anchor, and host. Leslie is a SoCal native, hailing from Chino Hills, and graduated from Pomona Catholic High School. Leslie joined ABC7 in 2016 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University, where she studied broadcast meteorology. Leslie Lopez is the morning meteorologist for ABC7 Eyewitness News, providing weekday weather reports for the 4am, 5am, and 6am newscasts.
